Who We Help
Whether you’re seeking help for yourself, your child, your relationship, or your whole family, we provide compassionate, personalized care for every age and stage of life. Wherever you are in life, there’s a place for you here.
Children (3 to 12)
If something feels off with your child, you already know it — and that instinct matters. Our registered therapists work with children navigating anxiety, ADHD, autism spectrum challenges, school stress, trauma, and emotional dysregulation, using age-appropriate, often play-based approaches in a space where your child feels genuinely safe. You’ll be supported too: when your child heals, the whole family moves forward.

How We Help
We meet children where they are — developmentally, emotionally, and often literally on the floor with a sandbox or a deck of cards. Our therapists use approaches specifically designed for how children process and express themselves, since most young children don’t yet have the words to describe what they’re feeling. Depending on your child’s age and needs, this may include:
Play Therapy
Using play as a child’s natural language to help them express emotions and process experiences.
Art & Expressive Arts Therapy
Drawing, movement, and creative expression for children who process best non-verbally.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Adapted for children, helping them notice and reshape unhelpful thought patterns.
Trauma-Informed Therapy
Safety- and trust-first care for children who’ve experienced difficult events.
Attachment-Based Therapy
Strengthening the parent-child bond as a foundation for healing.
Family Systems Therapy
Involving the whole family, since a child’s wellbeing is deeply connected to what’s happening at home.
Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)
For children experiencing OCD-related fears or compulsions.
Parent Coaching & Involvement
Equipping parents with tools to support progress between sessions.
Why Families Trust Us
Registered, specialized clinicians
Our therapists are regulated professionals with specific training and experience working with children, not general practitioners applying adult approaches to kids.
Age-appropriate, evidence-based care
Every approach we use is tailored to your child’s developmental stage, not a one-size-fits-all script.
A genuinely safe space
Our therapy rooms are thoughtfully equipped with age-appropriate tools and resources that make sessions feel like play, not clinical work — helping your child feel comfortable, curious, and in control.

Prefer the comfort of home? Our community-based team brings the same specialized tools and resources directly to your family, so your child can benefit from the same quality of care in a space they already feel safe in.
Whole-family support

Collaborative care
When needed, we coordinate with schools, pediatricians, and other providers so your child gets consistent support across every part of their life.
No judgment, ever
Whether it’s a meltdown in the waiting room or a diagnosis you’re still processing, we meet every family with warmth and without judgment.
Getting Started
Not sure if what you’re noticing needs professional support? That’s exactly what our intake process is for. We’ll walk you through your options, answer your questions, and help match your child with the right therapist — so you don’t have to figure it out alone.
Children (3 to 12) – FAQ
How do I know if my child actually needs therapy, or if this is just a phase?
Honestly, it’s hard to tell sometimes — kids go through phases! A good sign it’s worth reaching out is if the behavior is lasting more than a few weeks, is affecting school or friendships, or is causing your child real distress. Even if it turns out to be “just a phase,” an outside perspective never hurts.
What does therapy actually look like for a young child?
A lot of play, honestly. Young kids don’t always have the words to explain how they’re feeling, so our therapists use play-based approaches — games, art, storytelling — to help children express themselves and build skills in a way that feels natural, not clinical.
Will I be involved in my child’s sessions?
Yes, in most cases. Parents are a huge part of a child’s progress, so we typically check in with you regularly, share strategies you can use at home, and involve you as much as makes sense for your child’s needs.
My child was just diagnosed with ADHD/autism — can you help with that?
Absolutely. Our therapists have specific experience supporting neurodivergent kids, and we tailor our approach to how your child’s brain works rather than asking them to fit a one-size-fits-all mold. The Ontario Autism Program also provides funding that can go toward psychotherapy and social work services, and we’re happy to help you navigate using it.
How long does it usually take to see progress?
Every child moves at their own pace, so we can’t promise a timeline. What we can promise is that we’ll check in regularly on how things are going and adjust our approach together with you along the way.
Youth/Teens (13–18)
The teen years bring a unique set of pressures — school stress, friendship and peer conflicts, bullying, low self-esteem, family tension, and the physical and emotional changes of puberty can all feel overwhelming to navigate alone. Our team supports teens through anxiety and school-related stress, difficulties with self-worth and identity, and challenges with technology, gaming, and social media. With compassionate, age-appropriate care, we help teens build coping skills, strengthen family communication, and move through adolescence with greater confidence and resilience.

How We Help
Teens are navigating a lot at once — a changing brain, a changing body, and a rapidly changing social world. Our therapists meet teens where they are, using approaches that respect their growing independence while keeping families informed and involved. Depending on your teen’s needs, this may include:

Using an FDA-cleared medical device, we offer immersive, controlled VR environments to safely practice and build confidence in real-world scenarios that feel overwhelming — including public speaking, social situations, specific phobias (like heights or flying), and bullying or peer-conflict scenarios. This approach lets teens face feared situations gradually and repeatedly in a safe, supportive setting, building real confidence before facing the situation in real life.
Why Families Trust Us
Registered, specialized clinicians
Our therapists have specific training and experience working with adolescents, understanding the unique developmental, social, and emotional needs of this age group.

Every approach is tailored to where your teen is developmentally, not a one-size-fits-all script.
Innovative tools, real results
Our clinic spaces are equipped with advanced therapeutic technology, including FDA-cleared VR exposure therapy, giving teens practical, hands-on tools to build confidence, not just talk about it.

Whole-family support
We know a teen’s wellbeing is connected to what’s happening at home, so families are supported alongside the teen themselves.

Youth/Teens (13–18) — FAQ
Is what my teen says in therapy confidential from me?
Generally, yes — confidentiality helps teens feel safe being honest, which is essential for real progress. There are exceptions when it comes to safety concerns, and we’ll always walk you through what that means before sessions begin.
My teen is dealing with bullying or social media stress — do you work with that?
Definitely. It’s one of the most common things we support teens with. We help them build coping skills and confidence, and work through the specific pressures of school, friendships, and life online.
How do I bring this up with my teen without it feeling like a punishment?
Framing matters a lot here. We find it helps to talk about therapy as a space that’s theirs — somewhere they get support and are heard, not somewhere they’re sent because something’s “wrong” with them.
What if my teen only wants to come once or twice?
That’s a completely normal starting point. We’d rather meet your teen where they are than push for a commitment they’re not ready for — often, once they feel comfortable, they’re more open to continuing.
Adults
Something has been weighing on you, maybe for a while. Reaching out doesn’t mean something is wrong with you — it means you’re ready to feel better. We support anxiety, depression, burnout, grief, trauma, and life transitions, with a plan built around your goals, your pace, and your life as it actually looks.

We create a space where men can be direct and practical, working through what’s actually going on — from stress and addiction to relationship strain and retirement — without pressure to perform or explain it a certain way.
Women’s Health
Women often carry the emotional weight of multiple roles at once — career, caregiving, motherhood, relationships — while navigating hormonal and identity shifts that aren’t always acknowledged. Adults — FAQ
I’m not in crisis, I just feel a bit stuck — is that a good enough reason to start therapy?
Absolutely. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from support. A lot of our clients come to us simply because something feels off, or they want to feel more like themselves again — that’s more than reason enough.
How do I know if I need therapy or just need to vent to a friend?
Friends are wonderful, but they’re not trained to help you work through patterns, or hold space without their own opinions getting mixed in. If something keeps coming up despite venting, therapy can help you actually move through it, not just talk around it.
What’s the difference between counseling and just “talking about my problems”?
Therapy isn’t just talking — it’s guided, with a professional trained to help you notice patterns, build tools, and make a plan you actually want to move toward. It’s talking with purpose and support behind it.
How long does adult therapy usually last?
That really depends on you and what you’re working through. Some people come for a few months around a specific transition; others stay longer to work on deeper patterns. We’ll always be honest with you about what we’re seeing and what pace makes sense.
I’ve tried therapy before and it didn’t work for me — why would this be different?
Fit matters enormously in therapy, and it’s okay if a past experience didn’t click. We encourage you to be upfront about what didn’t work before, so we can find an approach — and a therapist — that actually fits you this time.

Structural Family Therapy

Getting Started
Not sure where to start, or whether family therapy is the right fit? That’s exactly what our intake process is for. We’ll walk you through your options, answer your questions, and help match your family with the right therapist — so you don’t have to figure it out alone.
Families — FAQ
Only one person in our family thinks we need therapy — is that a problem?
Not at all — that’s actually how most families start. Even one person’s shift in perspective or communication can create real movement in how the whole family relates to each other.
Will therapy involve blaming someone for the family’s issues?
No — that’s not how we work. Family therapy isn’t about deciding who’s “right,” it’s about creating a space where everyone feels heard and helping the family find its way forward together.
Do all family members need to attend every session?
Not necessarily. Sometimes we meet with the whole family, sometimes with smaller groups, depending on what’s most useful at that stage. We’ll talk through what structure makes sense for your situation.
We’re going through a separation or divorce — can family therapy still help?
Yes, very much so. We often support families through separation and divorce, helping everyone — especially kids — feel steady and communicate clearly through a big transition.
What if my kids are too young to really participate in family therapy?
We adjust our approach based on age. Younger kids can still be part of the process in age-appropriate ways, even if it looks different from how older family members participate.

Registered, experienced clinicians
Specific training in couples and relational dynamics, not individual therapy applied to two people.

Getting Started
Not sure where to start, or whether couples therapy is the right fit? That’s exactly what our intake process is for. We’ll walk you through your options, answer your questions, and help match you with the right therapist — so you don’t have to figure it out alone.
Couples — FAQ
We don’t fight — we just feel distant. Is couples therapy still for us?
Definitely. In fact, that’s one of the most common reasons couples reach out. It’s never really about assigning blame — it’s about understanding what’s created the distance and finding your way back to each other.
What if my partner doesn’t want to come to therapy?
That happens often, and it doesn’t mean the door is closed. Sometimes starting individually and inviting your partner in later works well — we can talk through what approach might feel most comfortable for both of you.
Will the therapist take sides?
No — our role is to support the relationship, not to referee who’s right. We hold space for both of you to be heard fairly, without judgment.
Can couples therapy help with trust after something like infidelity?
Yes, this is something we support couples through regularly. Rebuilding trust takes time and honesty, and we help create a structured, safe space for that process.
How often do couples typically come to sessions?
It varies, but many couples start with weekly sessions to build momentum, then shift to a less frequent schedule as things start to feel more stable. We’ll figure out the right rhythm together.
Not Sure Where to Start?

Frequently Asked Questions
Thinking about therapy for yourself or someone you love? Here are the questions we hear most from parents, individuals, and families, answered honestly and without jargon.
In most cases, no. Our therapists specialize in specific age groups. Teens are matched with therapists trained in child and youth therapy. Adults are matched with therapists focused on individual therapy for adults. This means whoever you or your child works with genuinely understands your developmental stage, communication style, and the specific concerns most common at that point in life.
Yes, this is something we support couples through regularly. Rebuilding trust takes time and honesty, and we help create a structured, safe space for that process.
Not necessarily. Sometimes we meet with the whole family, sometimes with smaller groups, depending on what’s most useful at that stage. We’ll talk through what structure makes sense for your situation.
Not always. Some families start with one parent, and others join later. Some begin with a single child or teen, with parents joining when it makes sense. We will talk through your situation during the free consultation and recommend what makes the most sense for your family. There is no pressure to have everyone present before you are ready. What matters is that everyone who attends feels safe and that the mental health counselling approach works for your family’s pace.
Yes. Virtual therapy sessions are available across Ontario and select Canadian provinces, depending on your therapist and the type of care you need. You can access the same quality of psychotherapy services from home or anywhere, in a private and comfortable environment. We also offer in-home or community sessions in select Ontario regions when virtual or in-person doesn’t feel right. Sessions run during the day, evenings, and weekends. Online therapy is just as effective as in-person care.
Framing matters a lot here. We find it helps to talk about therapy as a space that’s theirs — somewhere they get support and are heard, not somewhere they’re sent because something’s “wrong” with them.
Start with a free 15-minute consultation. It is a simple, pressure-free conversation. You share what is going on, ask any questions you have, and get a feel for what working with us looks like. No commitment required. Our evidence-based treatment approach means your therapist will tailor care to your specific needs from session one. We will listen and help you take the next step at a pace that feels right for you.
Friends are wonderful, but they’re not trained to help you work through patterns, or hold space without their own opinions getting mixed in. If something keeps coming up despite venting, therapy can help you actually move through it, not just talk around it.
You do not need to know before you call. Our intake team will listen to what you are noticing, ask a few simple questions, and guide you toward the right fit. Many parents come to us feeling unsure and leave that first conversation with a clear, reassuring next step. Our counselling services include specialized therapy for children and youth, with registered therapists trained to work with kids of all ages. You are not expected to figure this out alone.
That really depends on you and what you’re working through. Some people come for a few months around a specific transition; others stay longer to work on deeper patterns. We’ll always be honest with you about what we’re seeing and what pace makes sense.
Every child moves at their own pace, so we can’t promise a timeline. What we can promise is that we’ll check in regularly on how things are going and adjust our approach together with you along the way.
It varies, but many couples start with weekly sessions to build momentum, then shift to a less frequent schedule as things start to feel more stable. We’ll figure out the right rhythm together.
Absolutely. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from support. A lot of our clients come to us simply because something feels off, or they want to feel more like themselves again — that’s more than reason enough.
Fit matters enormously in therapy, and it’s okay if a past experience didn’t click. We encourage you to be upfront about what didn’t work before, so we can find an approach — and a therapist — that actually fits you this time.
Generally, yes — confidentiality helps teens feel safe being honest, which is essential for real progress. There are exceptions when it comes to safety concerns, and we’ll always walk you through what that means before sessions begin.
Definitely. It’s one of the most common things we support teens with. We help them build coping skills and confidence, and work through the specific pressures of school, friendships, and life online.
Not at all — that’s actually how most families start. Even one person’s shift in perspective or communication can create real movement in how the whole family relates to each other.
Definitely. In fact, that’s one of the most common reasons couples reach out. It’s never really about assigning blame — it’s about understanding what’s created the distance and finding your way back to each other.
Yes, very much so. We often support families through separation and divorce, helping everyone — especially kids — feel steady and communicate clearly through a big transition.
A lot of play, honestly. Young kids don’t always have the words to explain how they’re feeling, so our therapists use play-based approaches — games, art, storytelling — to help children express themselves and build skills in a way that feels natural, not clinical.
We adjust our approach based on age. Younger kids can still be part of the process in age-appropriate ways, even if it looks different from how older family members participate.
That happens often, and it doesn’t mean the door is closed. Sometimes starting individually and inviting your partner in later works well — we can talk through what approach might feel most comfortable for both of you.
That’s a completely normal starting point. We’d rather meet your teen where they are than push for a commitment they’re not ready for — often, once they feel comfortable, they’re more open to continuing.
That’s more common than you’d think, and it’s okay. Our therapists are experienced at building trust with teens who are hesitant at first — often the goal of an early session is simply making the space feel safe, not diving straight into hard topics.
Therapy isn’t just talking — it’s guided, with a professional trained to help you notice patterns, build tools, and make a plan you actually want to move toward. It’s talking with purpose and support behind it.
Yes, in most cases. Parents are a huge part of a child’s progress, so we typically check in with you regularly, share strategies you can use at home, and involve you as much as makes sense for your child’s needs.
No — our role is to support the relationship, not to referee who’s right. We hold space for both of you to be heard fairly, without judgment.
No — that’s not how we work. Family therapy isn’t about deciding who’s “right,” it’s about creating a space where everyone feels heard and helping the family find its way forward together.
